Reverend Maere no more

Former Blantyre CCAP Synod former deputy general secretary (DGS) the Reverend Andrew Maere, who deputised Reverend Mac Donald Kadawati between 2008 and 2010, has died.

Maere, while DGS served as moderator at Ndirande Kachere CCAP, before being transferred to Ntcheu CCAP until his death on Saturday.

Blantyre CCAP Synod DGS the Reverend Cliff Nyekanyeka confirmed the death of Maere, saying the synod was working with the family ahead of the burial today.

“Yes, I can confirm that former DGS the Reverend Andrew Maere has died on Saturday night and burial will take place in Mulanje,” said the Nyekanyeka.

While at Ndirande Kachere, Maere led the congregation in building a two-storey office that houses the session clerk, church clerk and small hall for mini conferences.
